A woman was slammed to the ground by police during the anti-lockdown protest in London last weekend. Footage shows her grappling with officers after she was pulled off her chair, then struggling with a walking stick before she was shoved by an officer.
Alex Phillips: “When you look at the pictures, it’s pretty brutal… she’s punched in the stomach… those were ugly images, not what you expect from British policing”. James Whale: “We police with consent in this country… we do not use bully boy tactics and that sort of force”.
