Brendan O’Neill, editor of Spiked Online, says our society is becoming “like the east German Stasi” where people are cancelled for saying the wrong thing. Speaking to talkRADIO he said many people making criticisms online are doing it to make themselves feel good, rather than making society a better place as “they just get a cheap thrill from it.” Brendan says it won’t be long before people are being filmed in shops, without masks on “and being shamed online and publicly harassed and told that they are evil granny killers.”
